Editing datasources

To open the editing dialog, click the Edit link in the datasource actions menu.

You can edit almost all of the datasource metadata. Note that these changes are applied to the datasource registration and affect all users. However, the underlying data itself is not touched.

Advanced datasource configuration​

The advanced settings control how a datasource is represented by the Datamesh. Some of this information is scraped from the underlying datasource and will be overwritten if the datasource is re-imported.

WARNING: Changing any settings in the advanced section may affect the operation of the datasource in the datamesh. Only change if you know what you are doing!

Deleting a datasource​

When you remove datasource it is delete from the Datamesh registry and storage. An external data service is not touched in any way, only its reference and Oceanum.io metadata.

WARNING: Deleting a datasource which is stored on the Oceanum.io Datamesh will also permanently remove the actual data in the datasource.
